Job Extensions for Autodesk Vault
Job Extensions software is a set of handlers and a control center for extensions to the underlying Autodesk Vault functionality that enhance business process automation.
Managed extensions include:
Facsimile signature application to IDW/DWG or PDF documentation.
Generating and overlaying QR- and barcodes based on document attributes.
Conversion of Autodesk Inventor sheet parts to DXF format for nesting.
Sending email notifications to Vault users about changes in the document status during business process.
Automatic task execution is performed by integrating Job Extensions with the Job Processor component in Autodesk Vault. When an event triggered by system, the task for its processing goes to a Job queue and then Job Processor processes it. Job Extensions expand with new capabilities based on customer needs to reduce manual processing and automate daily tasks. Job Extensions Manager's intuitive interface and built-in prompts make it easy for any user to configure the extensions.

“With Inventor, the time for technological preparation and assembly of the pipeline based on the 3D model was 2-3 hours. Previously, in manual mode, the average time of such work was not less than 6 months. Thanks to our partner, the company POINT, for implementation and training”.
“Thanks to POINTLAB we have a high level of Vault automation. It allowed us to launch a project with a European engineering company in just one week. Considering that we are in different countries and all the employees worked remotely, the speed and professionalism of my colleagues is impressive”.
Oleg Chistotin
Head of the Scraper Reclaimer Department, NPO Aconit JSC
“I and my colleagues were studying at the POINT training class. As a part of the course, our lecturer has examined and reviewed the specific cases manufactured by our company equipment. There is no doubt that the coach has rich practical experience. We were able to start solving production issues right after finishing the course”.
Timur Kharisov
Chief Engineer of the Production Department, FINGO
“The training helped employees who had not worked in the program before to get used to it quickly, and it was also useful for experienced designers. The support of the instructor was a pleasant surprise. Later we again went to POINT for deeper study of the program, solution of production tasks and automation of work processes. We were very satisfied with it.”
“First, I would like to note the professionalism of the specialists who taught us how to work with the software Autodesk Inventor. The training process was effective and as much useful as possible. I would like to say that the level of practical training tasks is also high, so that employees can immediately solve real professional tasks and issues facing them.”

Top 5 Autodesk Vault features you probably don't use
POINTLAB works with many organizations that use Autodesk Vault. It's a powerful tool, but some companies aren't taking full advantage of its potential. Based on our experience in this area, we have compiled the top 5 features of Autodesk Vault that are often not used. We hope this material will help improve your work efficiency.
The design of a new product often involves the use of the work of previous projects. This approach can be driven either by the desire to reduce development time when parts are sufficiently similar or do not need to be modified for the new project at all, or by the desire to unify designs. In any case, this practice is extremely beneficial to optimize the design process and avoid errors in the project documentation.
What is Tolerance Analysis within Autodesk Inventor?
Tolerance Analysis is an add-on software built into Inventor for one-dimensional calculation and tolerance analysis in one linear direction. Analysis allows you to determine if components in an assembly conform to mechanical fit and performance requirements based on aggregate dimensional tolerances.
